I don't know about y'all, but summer is my favorite season. Long, sunny days, beautiful weather, popsicles, trips to the beach, days spent by the pool, it's all so much fun! One very important part of road trips is making sure the vehicle you will be driving is ready for the long trek ahead. So what all should you check before heading out on your fun adventure?
The condition of your tires- You want to check the tire pressure and make sure the PSI is where it should be. You also want to check the tread on your tires and make sure there are no cracks or holes in them. You'll want to replace old, worn tires to prevent any accidents from happening, who wants to spend vacation broke down on the side of the road in an unfamiliar place? Not me.
Fluid levels- There are a few different fluids you should check before making a journey across the country. Your oil level, power steering level, coolant level, (you don't want to have A/C problems in the middle of Summer) brake fluid level and windsheild washer fluid.
Alignment- Driving on long road trips with a poor alignment will cause premature wear on your tires. It is also a good idea to check the status of your brakes prior to heading out on your fun adventure.
Remember to make sure your vehicle is road trip ready before heading off.
